So OmniPlan 4 has been out for the Mac since 2020 and the iOS version is imminent if not already released. And I've been PMing OmniPlan plan for, I think, a little over five years now, just after the launch of OmniPlan 3. And I have been at Omni for maybe eight and a half years now, switched over from customer support initially. I product manage a couple of things at Omni now, but OmniPlan was where I got started in product management.

And then about five years ago, I got asked if I would like to move it onto that team full time. For a long time, we had kind of a user experience larger group that contributed to the user experience stuff, and I was part of that team, but I was not one of the people who was working full time on that. I moved over to the user experience team. But I was a developer for most of that career, sorry. I've been at Omni for quite a long time, over 20 years. I am one of the user experience designers at Omni. And so what I thought might be nice is to be able to have you both share what your roles currently are, and maybe a little bit about how you got there. And honestly, we thought it'd be a lot of fun talking about the process that led up to these releases. With the new online store set-up, customers only have to remember their one account log-in to use all Omni Group apps on all devices, rather than track independent license codes, or personal subscriptions. Now, new options for team and personal subscriptions are available in the Omni Group’s online store, which also introduces significantly easier license management for both subscriptions and traditional licenses.
After that, there is the traditional licensing option that starts at $199.99 but the company has launched new subscription options today that start from $19.99/month.Īnd the new subscription plans aren’t just for OmniPlan, they’re available for the full suite of Omni software. OmniPlan 4 for Mac is available as a free download with a 14-day trial. OmniPlan 4 also now supports new project outline viewing options and task roll-up, plus automatic light/dark mode, and a new file format designed for compatibility with third-party services, like Dropbox and Box.Īnother new feature is the “intelligent new cost and effort tracking, for specific items or totals, by month or user-specified time interval, enabling powerful cost and resource forecasting and reporting.”
